BusinessForce Kicks off 2022 Election Cycle, Welcomes New Leadership
Regional pro-business, and non-partisan stalwart, BusinessForce, has tapped Todd Wilcox as Chairman for 2022-2023.
Orlando, FL – Wilcox, a decorated combat veteran and green beret, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Patriot Defense, a defense and aerospace services company based in Maitland, Florida. Wilcox will bring 16 years of experience as a businessman and community leader in promoting good government and pro-business public policy.
The entrepreneur and former CIA officer previously served as Treasurer at BusinessForce and will lead the pro-business efforts throughout Central Florida. Wilcox has assumed the role after the service of Craig Swygert, President, Central Florida Markets, Clear Channel Outdoor.
“This is going to be a pivotal election cycle and I look forward to leading the BusinessForce constituent board members to affect pro-business candidates and issue advocacy”, says Wilcox.
In addition to Wilcox, Leslie O’Shaughnessy will now serve as its new Executive Director, working with the BusinessForce Board of Directors to continue building diverse and bi-partisan community coalitions. O’Shaughnessy is the Executive Director of Federal Sales for ExteNet Systems, the nation’s largest privately-held provider of converged communications infrastructure. “Leslie O’Shaughnessy uniquely combines a depth of local political experience with leadership”, says Wilcox. O’Shaughnessy previously served as Deputy Vice President, Public Affairs, for U.S. federal agency, Millennium Challenge, in Washington, DC. She is a former Congressional staff member and served as Special Assistant to the Orange County Mayor on Homelessness and Affordable Housing.
